Family Conversations: If you are a working parent, you may long for a quiet evening with minimal conversation. However, dinnertime provides the perfect opportunity to come together and hear about everyone's day. Conversations with your second grader [or any grade level] are also important for vocabulary development.
Here are some conversation starters:
What special activities did you do today?
What was the best part of your day?
Did you have any problems today?
How did you solve your problem?
Did you check out any good books from the library?
Parents you can borrow Dinner Conversation Cards from the Parent Resource Center. I truly hope to see you soon!
